I wrote a bicultural/bilingual children's picture book under the pseudonym of "Margot", The Best Good Night Present Ever, which is available on-line through numerous book vendors. I have had some satire published in a variety of local publications in a variety of areas where I lived. I have written innumerable unpublished academic papers. I am, therefore, relatively new to the publication field, though not new to writing.
I have quite a lot of varied life experience, both professional and personal, with significant exposure to persons from many cultures, races, ethnicities and belief systems. This has only served to broaden and deepen who I am as a person and what I can give to others. While I have served on few committees and boards, I have served in many kitchens and nurseries. I have not made attempts to dictate how things should work for people. I have gone into the midst of people to find out how things did work for them.
My professional experience has always related to health - physical, emotional/mental, social, spiritual. With a certification in medical assisting I have worked in hospitals, clinics, prisons, pharmacies, health fairs, and schools of allied health. I enjoyed almost every minute of it. In time, I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Community Health Education, and with that degree I obtained a license in social work under the related degree clause. I went on to obtain a Master of Arts in Counselor Education and have worked as a counselor in a number of settings. I have keen interest in spirituality and Biblical history, and was certified as an advanced lay speaker with the United Methodist Church. Currently, I am tying this all together by working to obtain a Doctor of Naturopathy.
